PPE detection technologies using computer vision and artificial intelligence offer a more effective and efficient way to ensure that workers are wearing the required safety gear, ultimately reducing the risk of accidents and injuries in the workplace. Once the sensors detect a violation of PPE policy, they trigger an alert system, which can send an alert to the employee in question, the supervisor, or the safety team. PPE detection solutions can also generate reports and analytics that provide valuable insights into workplace safety compliance, such as trends in PPE usage, areas of the worksite where compliance is lacking, and the frequency and types of PPE violations. Status and progress
Ignitis Innovation Hub is partnering with Agmis, a Lithuanian digital solutions provider, to develop a pilot project to test the PPE detection solution at a cogeneration plant in Kaunas. The aim of the project is to assess the effectiveness of the system in improving workplace safety and reducing the risk of accidents and injuries for employees. The collaboration between Ignitis and Agmis on this pilot project is an exciting development in the field of workplace safety, and it has the potential to contribute to safer and more efficient work environments in the future.
