Updated: prosumer profile in Lithuania Open data set

Posted by Karolis Mirinavičius

THE NUMBER OF PROSUMERS IN LITHUANIA - has reached 10 000 in May this year. We have seen an ever-growing popularity of individual photovoltaic (PV) installations, intensive support and expect to see an exponential growth in the coming years too.

Ignitis group highly supports the expansion of renewables and offers the energytech community, academia and the public Open data sets for data analysis, insights and development of Energy Smart solutions that would accelerate the adoption of sustainable energy practices in Lithuania.

We recognize the importance of relevant, accurate and granular data for the implementation of innovative products and services locally and that is why we have updated the Prosumer profile Open data set.

This data set now covers two-year (2019 and 2020) hourly data of two parameters – generation of electricity from PV plant to the grid (P-) and consumption of electricity from the grid (P+). In order to outline the geographic differences, the set contains aggregated prosumer profiles in Vilnius, Klaipėda and Panevėžys. To avoid data deviation all selected and aggregated prosumer set-ups have 10kW installed power capacity and installed equipment between 2015 and 2018.

Data set can be useful to perform analytical exercises and gain insights into typical prosumer profiles in Lithuania and/or use data in combination with other sources and applications.
