Due to the successful financial and strategic results of the first fund, Ignitis Group made a decision to continue investing in venture capital. In 2023, after a thorough international public tender, Ignitis Group chose World Fund Management as the top fund manager to invest in, committing about 25 million Euros to their fund “World Fund” for the next 10 years.

World Fund is a European climate tech VC that invests in technologies with scalable businesses and significant emissions savings potential. World Fund supports startups from early to growth stage, focusing on Energy, Food and Agriculture, Manufacturing, Buildings, and Mobility. The investment team includes engineers, physicists, chemists, biologists, early and growth-stage investors.

Other well-known organizations, such as the European Investment Fund (EIF) and the UK Environment Agency Pension Fund, as well as the international audit firm PwC Deutschland, have also invested in World Fund.
