Automated OHL inspection

To digitize and automate the airline inspection process by 2024, Energijos skirstymo operatorius (ESO) is conducting pre-commercial procurement to purchase a system to help determine the condition of power airlines without human intervention.

ESO shall include in the procurement conditions criteria that encourage suppliers to develop and offer an innovative solution, i.e. with this acquisition, ESO wants to acquire a system that is not yet on the market.

On 2019 February contracts with the best three bidders were signed for the first phase of the project – to prepare a concept for creating automated overhead lines inspection solution.
On 2019 September two best concepts were approved for the second phase – further development of prototype for automated inspection solution.
On 2021 April the prototypes and developed solution will be evaluated and the decision for final third phase will be made.
