To digitize and automate the airline inspection process by 2024, Energijos skirstymo operatorius (ESO) is conducting pre-commercial procurement to purchase a system to help determine the condition of power airlines without human intervention.
ESO shall include in the procurement conditions criteria that encourage suppliers to develop and offer an innovative solution, i.e. with this acquisition, ESO wants to acquire a system that is not yet on the market.
Contracts for the first phase of the project signed on February 1 with the three best-evaluated bidders. The results of the first phase are currently being evaluated (the comprehensive concept of automized airline inspection technology). The second stage will start in October, in which the two best participants will receive financial aid to develop a prototype of their chosen solution.
